Who we are
MITOS is a ‘for purpose’ umbrella organisation for coaching, collaborations, projects and courses that enable sustainable change in education and other organisations. We are driven by a desire to see all those we work with find their purpose and worth. The team consists of three experienced coaches, well versed in emotional health, mindset, psychology, developing resilience and mental wellbeing. We deliver seminars, coaching, training and tools for change to school leaders and support staff, students, corporate leaders and parents, including carers of children with special needs.
The problem
Lockdown #2 is upon us and the pressure on senior leaders in schools and colleges is not going away. We recognise that senior leaders need to pause and catch their breath and support in their own emotional and mental wellbeing as they manage huge volumes of people; children, staff and families alike.
The challenges COVID brings are multifaceted. The losses are extensive; bereavement, disruption to routine, pressure to respond to fast-moving demands and interruption to non-verbal communication. Senior leaders in any organisation will experience a heightened sense of isolation, as they carry the challenges of their teams, students and families. Often the tendency is for those at ‘the top’ to feel like they cannot reach out for help when so many depend on them to keep going. To give from an empty cup is simply not sustainable.
